Horoscope

I usually take a peek at my horoscope on My Yahoo. I don't live by what I read or get really in to what it says. I just look out of curiousity and sometimes read lines that I like. Here is what my overview is for today: "Stop arguing with destiny, especially when you agree with what it's telling you. Are you just scared of the possibilities? Owning up to what you're really capable of means you have to stop playing it safe." I actually find this to be very good advice for me. I do hold myself back a lot of times because of the fear of the unknown and not being sure if things will work out or not. Maybe, for once, I will take my horoscope seriously and work on this. So, whatever my destiny is, bring it on, I'm ready for you!

Catching Up

I haven't wrote an entry in a while, oops. Last weekend (a week ago) I went camping. Between the lack of sleep and the consumption of beverages (to remain nameless), my brain wasn't fully functional last week. Writing something on a public site when you aren't thinking straight, is NEVER a good idea! So, I waited. I did have a blast camping. It was definitely hot, but it was nice in the water. I had an absolute blast, my favorite camping trip ever! I'm going camping again this weekend, but not for as many nights. So, it should be an easier recovery. I've been keeping pretty busy lately. I saw the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. That was pretty good. Also had another trip to the zoo, saw my first 3D movie at the Imax, that was cool. I've gone fishing, but not nearly as much as I have wanted to. I had a tryout with a girl this weekend. Our official tryouts are coming up soon, so I'll be busy getting ready for that. I'm getting anxious to get the new team started. Looks like we're going to be adding someone to our coaching staff. I'm excited about that too. I think all of us will work well together and should have a lot of fun. Ok, I think I've got things caught up. Nothing terribly exciting to entertain you with, but oh well, you'll get over it.

Quote

Here is a quote on the homepage of a system at work:

Never do anything when you are in a temper, for you will do everything wrong.
Baltasar Gracian

I just thought I'd post this because I find it to be very true. Me being a red head, I definitely know this quote to be truthful. I have a hot temper and have said and done a lot of stupid things because of it. That's something I've really worked on controlling, hopefully it's working (of course, there are always relapses, like throwing a glove at a certain someone - oops!).

I See How You Are

I've noticed that my normal every day postings don't seem to gather much attention. Do I need to do something stupid and write about it so you all can make fun of me?!

Incase you don't know me as well as I would like to think you do. I am being sarcastic here. I know that I dish out just as much crap as you guys give me on here. I just had to bitch and whine because no one has left me any comments lately. Maybe I'll come up with something creative to write about in the next couple days to up the entertainment value. I have been doing a lot of writing lately, maybe I'll share something (maybe!). We'll see what I can come up with.

I Love Rain

It has been sprinkling all day today. I have a thing for rain. Some people know the full details of that "thing", I won't go in to detail on that here. You just need to know that I love it when it rains, especially in the summer. On my lunch break I took a nap in my car. It's so relaxing to hear the light tap of the rain drops. Very soothing to me. There is an added bonus of it raining today. With the rain has come a little cooler temperature. The air conditioner in my dad's house (where I live) went out yesterday and it was extremely warm in the house last night. I couldn't fall asleep. Hopefully it won't get too muggy and humid and it will feel a little more comfortable tonight. If not, I'm sure I'll be doing some begging to crash somewhere else tonight.

I Hate Moving

I am now living at my Dad's house. I hate having to admit I had to go running to one of my parents, but it honestly isn't bad being there. My dad and I talked and he said he's actually looking forward to having me around for a while. I haven't lived with him since my parents divorced 12 years ago. Of course, I'm not 12 anymore and having his 24 year old daughter live with him probably isn't the same. I definitely appreciate him and Beth (step mom) letting me stay. It's just going to take some adjusting. It was nice to sit down to a family dinner the other night. I have a step sister, Krysten (yes, it gets confusing any time they try to call us by name), she's going to be a senior this year. I haven't really ever been able to get to know her, so maybe this will be a good time for that. I'm already starting to bond with Lexie (their dog). Those of you who know me know how much I dislike dogs. Well, she took a nap with me yesterday, so we've bonded. She's not so bad. But of course, she's no comparison to my kitty I had to leave with Scott. I definitely miss her. But, I know Scott loves her just as much as I do, so I let him keep her. Anyways, enough babbling, I know this post isn't as entertaining as me and my stupid moments. But, I have to have my serious moments too.

Animals!

Here are a couple pictures from our trip to the zoo last weekend.
